About Us
What is The Gaia Zine?
The Gaia Zine, founded by Isabel Tiburcio, amplifies the voices of young creatives by publishing their work, teaching technical and business skills, and connecting them to our network of creatives in fifteen countries!
How is The Gaia Zine helping young creatives?
The Gaia Zine provides resources to young creatives who are often turned away from other avenues because of their age. Being published online allows them to present their work professionally; easily added to applications, included in resumes, and shared. Our resource page contains interviews with professionals, links to external opportunities, and discussion boards. These interviews include career, creative, and technical advice. The discussion boards connect contributors to like-minded individuals, allowing safe, international collaboration.
The Gaia Zine is catered to the international youth; all of our events and communications occurring remotely. The Gaia Zine’s global community makes our network unique. The Gaia Zine gives contributors the best of both worlds: publication and support! Along with year-round opportunities, The Gaia Zine holds specialized events. These events range from art contests, to film festivals, to guest speakers, and publishing poetry anthology books! Our most recent event, the Uniquely Youth Film Festival highlighted 9 short films through a virtual screening and Q&A with the filmmakers about their creative journeys and advice!
